Historical – geographical part of Georgia between the rivers Tskhenistskali – Enguri and the Black sea; it was firstly mentioned in historical manuscripts in XII century. One of its historical names is Lazika. Based on recent administrative division the region posses to Samegrelo –Zemo Svaneti region and includes the following districts: Poti, Zugdidi, Abasha, Martvili, Senaki, Chkhorotsku, Tsalenjikha and Khobi.  Hundreds of architectural monuments and sights are on the region’s area: religious buildings, churches and monasteries, defensive and agricultural constructions. The region is rich with climate – resort, seaside –resort and hydro- mineral recourses. Apart from the various historical –cultural inheritances, the region has its own language and too interesting musical heritage.
