TUNIS AIRPORT- TUNIS:

Upon arrival, greeting at the TunisCarthage Airport, assistance and Transfer to hotel of stay in TUNIS. Check in and accommodation at HOTEL in TUNIS

TUNIS – EL JEM – SFAX – GABES – MATMATA:

Breakfast Departure to El Jem, via SOUSSE. Visit the Roman amphitheatre dating back to the IInd century and considered as one of the three main amphitheatres in the world after the amphitheatres of Rome and Capoue. Continuation to SFAX, second economic capital of Tunisia. Lunch at leisure (not included) Continue to MATMATA, troglodyte village where the film « Star War » was shot, and inhabited by Berbers who have carved homes in the soft rocks, in protection against invaders, and created a lifestyle corresponding to difficult weather conditions. Discover the lifestyle of the local Berber population famous for their warm hospitality, and taste traditional « Tabouna » bread with green tea. Check in, and overnight at HOTEL in MATMATA.

MATMATA – DJERBA -GABES – DOUZ:

Breakfast Departure to DJERBA via Gabes. Arrival and visit DJERBA, the warm weather island is a privileged tourist destination. After a tour of the island, walk around Jerba. Visit HARA SGHIRA and HOUMET ESSOUK where all types of fabric, carpets and jewellery are sold. Visit GUELLALA, traditional potters’ village, Depart from DJERBA via GABES to DOUZ. Lunch at leisure (not included) Then departure to DOUZ. Arrival and visit the Medina. Settling at HOTEL in DOUZ and accommodation.

DOUZ – CHOTT EL JERID – NEFTA – TOZEUR:

Breakfast Departure to Tozeur through CHOTT EL JERID salt lake, and stop photos. Arrival at TOZEUR, one of the most famous oases in the world sheltering a palm grove of over 1000 ha irrigated by 200 sources, and beautiful architecture village and yellow stone houses positioned following geometric patterns copying calligraphy and Arab tapestry art. Settling at HOTEL in TOZEUR and Lunch (not included) In the afternoon, depart with Jeep to visit NEFTA’s basket, large cirque with abrupt ochre walls topped with white marabous, where surge multiple sources which give life to the hundreds of thousands of the oasis’s palm trees. Optional visit to “EDEN PALM” which is an eco museum based in an ancient palm groves in TOZEUR and exposing the real life in the oasis and the history of palms and dates in TUNISIA. TOZEUR – CHEBIKA – TAMERZA –MIDES -GAFSA- SBEITLA – KAIROUAN:

Breakfast Departure to CHEBIKA and TAMERZA to visit the canyons and the waterfalls. Continue to Mides and visit. Depart to GAFSA. Visit Roman pools with pools surrounded by high walls of freestone. Lunch at GAFSA. Then departure towards SBEITLA, archaeological site of first order in Tunisia. After visiting the site, continuation towards KAIROUAN. Settling at HOTEL in KAIROUAN and accommodation.

KAIROUAN – THUBURBO MAJUS – TUNIS:

Breakfast Visit the Medina of KAIROUAN. Visit the Great Mosque, the oldest Islamic religious site in the western Islamic world, then the Barber’s Mausoleum, the most visited in the country. Finally, Visit Aghlabite Basins and the Medina. Lunch at leisure (not included) After lunch, departure to THUBURBO MAJUS, considered as one of the largest Roman sites in Tunisia, and visit its imposing vestiges. Departure to TUNIS. Check in, and accommodation at HOTEL in TUNIS.

TUNIS – BARDO-CARTHAGESIDI BOU SAID- TUNIS:

Breakfast Visit the MEDINA of Tunis, real close city, enclosed by ramparts and sheltering the souks which are among the most lively and coloured in North Africa. Visit the Bardo Museum grouping the largest Roman mosaics collection in the world as well as exhibitions of historical precious objects and vestiges Lunch at leisure (not included) Visit CARTHAGE and the roman site. Then, visit the village of SIDI BOU SAID, real balcony on the sea, « White pearl suspended over the azure  gulf ». From the terrace of a café, discover the magnificent panorama including the small marina and the whole area of Tunis. Return to your HOTEL in TUNIS and accommodation.
